Silk: The Complete Trilogy Author Interview

Silk: The Complete Trilogy looks like a great romantic/erotica series. Do you plan anymore books in the series or maybe a new series?
Thanks so much! The Complete Trilogy is the final book in this series. I think I ended it perfectly and there’s no need for another volume. I have pondered the idea of releasing another series in the future, but no time soon. I have so many other ideas running around in my head.

What do you think makes a great romance/erotic story?
Chemistry is for sure what can make or break a romance story. You want the reader to feel like they’re a part of your story. Characters with no sparks flying or dry dialogue is only going to bore your audience and leave them disinterested.

What are your ambitions for your writing career? Full time? Part time?
Writing right now is part-time. I have so many other things I love to do, like singing and acting, that I know there’s only room for part-time at the moment. However, readers can definitely expect me to continue releasing new projects consistently.

When did you decide to become a writer?
I’ve been writing from a very early age. But I didn’t decide to take it seriously as a career until I published the first volume of Silk in 2011. I looked to some of my favorite authors as inspiration and figured if they could do it, so could I.

When writing Silk: The Complete Trilogy did anything stand out as particularly challenging?
Nothing was really challenging about the writing aspect. I worked on each volume one at time so I didn’t really experience any pressure. It was actually quite entertaining to be able to develop so many diverse characters.

How did you come up with the stories in your latest book?
Honestly, ideas just pop up in my head. I’ve always had a big imagination. I just sat down with my pen and paper and allowed my imagination to run wild.

Can you give readers some info about your upcoming book tour?
Yes! The Silk blog tour kicks off May 1st! It’s a virtual tour, so readers can look forward to more in-depth interviews, guest blogging and book spotlights. This will be my first book tour and I can’t wait for readers to learn more about me and the new book!

And your free book giveaway? How can readers enter to win?
Readers can head over to GoodReads.com to enter for a chance to win. I’ll be giving away two free autographed copies of Silk and the giveaway dates are from April 21st-28th. More info about the giveaway can be found on my website.

Any new projects in the works?
My next book, Sweat, an erotic m/m romance will finally be released this summer. I’m also working on a new e-short for the holidays and my debut EP. So, a lot more to come this year!

What do you like to do when not writing?
When I’m not writing I’m usually working on music or just relaxing at home. I love to just sit back and binge-watch TV, get lost within the pages of a book, and play video games.
